iPad Mini Event And Mockups, New Retina MacBook In Tow: This Week In Apple Rumors

Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to This Week In Apple Rumors, our regular look back at all of the week's unconfirmed gossip, questionably-sourced reports, and blatant speculation about future Apple products from around the Web! Let's take a look back at what the various Apple blogs and websites were excited about in the past week, from October 7 - 13. Check out our previous edition of Apple rumors here, and for all the latest you can follow me on Twitter right here.

  • There Will Very Probably Be An Apple Event On October 23

...and that event will very probably be headlined by a smaller iPad, the device that you and I and Uncle Jerry all know as the iPad Mini. Yes, it appears the Apple PR machine has leaked the date of its next party out to the general public, and that date is indeed October 23rd. AllThingsD, iMore, Jim Dalrymple, the New York Times, and Bloomberg all agree: There's going to be a party thrown by Apple on the 23rd, and the star of that party will be a smaller iPad (and it can cry if it wants to). With all those reputable sources reporting, you can pretty much guarantee that October 23rd is a lock. If you don't believe that Apple is behind these leaks, then I've gotten some <em>shocking </em>evidence that Barack Obama's birth certificate isn't as authentic as our so-called "president" says it is. So: Event date is October 23rd; I would expect invites on either Monday or Tuesday of this week, at noon. If the event is October 23rd (a Tuesday), the release date should be 9 or 10 days after, with availability in stores around Halloween. "Obnoxious iPad Mini Owner" could be this year's hottest costume (for women, obviously, that costume would be "Sexy Obnoxious iPad Mini Owner"). But aside from the date of the event, and the likely release date, we still have so many questions about the iPad Mini. We think that it's going to have a 7.85-inch display -- a little larger than that of the Kindle Fire or Nexus 7, which both have 7.0-inch screens -- and we're pretty sure it's going to be running iOS and have an Apple logo on the back. But beyond that, this is a pretty mysterious little device.

  • Will The iPad Mini Event Focus On...Books?

A report from The Next Web, immediately following the Grand Leaking of the Date, claims that much of the focus will be on reading, and its iBooks service. A better reading experience is one widely acknowledged major advantage of a 7-inch tablet over a 10-inch tablet like the iPad, so that makes sense to me! The oft-repeated line about an iPad Mini is that it is Apple's defense against cheaper tablets like the Kindle Fire and Nexus 7, both of which are more comfortable to hold while reading. With the larger screen iPad providing for more immersive movie-watching, the iPad Mini would be Apple's book-readin' gadget. One possible snag: Preliminary rumors have said that the display on the iPad Mini will be less-than-Retina quality, to keep costs down. If that's true, Apple might have a hard time convincing shoppers to opt for an iPad over the excellent screens on both the Kindle Fire HD and the NOOK HD, the forthcoming 7-inch tablet from Barnes & Noble. Both have terrific screens, and if Apple truly wants to sell the Mini as an eReader alternative, it better have a high-definition screen in tow.

  • Will The iPad Mini Be WiFi Only? And How Much Will It Cost?

Another big question facing the iPad Mini: Will Apple offer 3G or 4G options, as it does with the iPad? A recent rumor (rumour?) from The Guardian has Apple making WiFi-only versions of the iPad Mini at first. The Kindle Fire HD, NOOK HD, and Nexus 7 are all WiFi-only, as well. The report also states that Apple will also be releasing updated versions of the Big iPad, with the new Lightning Connector port, an update which I'm sure everyone who bought the new iPad just six months ago will just <em>love</em>. Another looming question on everyone's mind: How much will the iPad Mini cost? Right now, you've got the Kindle Fire HD, NOOK HD, and Nexus 7 all going for $199; the Kindle Fire classic costs just $159. Most guesses have placed the iPad Mini's price at either $249 or $299, though I've also seen estimates as high as $349 and as low as $199. With the iPad 2 selling for $399, I think $349 will prove too costly; with Apple generally going for high profit margins on its iDevices, I think $199 is too low. So, yeah, I would guess either $249 or $299 will be the final price and probably the largest surprise about the iPad Mini, and the single detail that could determine its success. (Though, let's be honest: The way Apple is going, a smaller iPad will be successful no matter what. Just how successful will depend, though, on how low the price can go). Oh, and here's one more question about the iPad Mini: What else is Apple going to talk about on October 23rd? Because at all of these Apple shindigs -- the iPhone event, the iPad event, the iOS event -- there's always a large supporting cast in the lead-up to the main attraction. Last time around, with the iPhone 5, we also got a set of new iPods and a new iTunes. What's going to pop up this time?

  • Will The iPad Mini Be Joined By A New Retina MacBook Pro?

We've been expecting a Retina MacBook Pro with 13-inch screen to join the Retina MacBook Pro with 15-inch screen for a few months now; in fact, it had been (erroneously) reported that the smaller Retina MBP would be announced at the iPhone 5 event. But with Apple introducing a smaller iPad on October 23rd, we've gotta ask: Will it also introduce a smaller Retina MacBook? Digitimes reported this week that Apple's suppliers are having some trouble mass producing the screens, which could affect availability; though it does reiterate that the iPad Mini, a Retina MacBook Pro with 13-inch screen, and a new iMac are expected by the end of October. Analyst JK Shim also sees that new Retina MBP arriving in October, as does renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities. If Apple doesn't debut a new Retina MacBook Pro on the 23rd, in other words, there are gonna be a lot of folks with a lot of egg on their faces. Get out your Wet Naps, just in case. That's all for This Week In Apple Rumors. Make sure you join us again next week, when I'll write this entire column with yolk dripping from my eyelids and streaming down my cheeks.

Stocks flatline, pulled by jobless claims, Europe

Stocks fell stagnant Thursday with little significant activity up or down. Stocks rose in the morning after a positive jobless claims report but fell in the afternoon.

By Christina Rexrode,?AP Business Writer / October 11, 2012

Company officials gather at the post for the first trades of shares of Realogy Inc. following it's IPO on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange Thursday. Stock traders appeared unperturbed by worrisome developments in the global economy.

The market closed roughly flat Thursday, underwhelmed by encouraging jobs news but unrattled by worrisome developments in the global economy.

In the morning, a government report of fewer jobless claims carried the market higher. The Dow Jones industrial average rose as much as 83 points, shrugging off a widening U.S. trade deficit, higher unemployment in Greece and a ratings cut for Spain.

By late afternoon, the rally sputtered, and the Dow wavered between small gains and losses. It closed slightly down, along with the Nasdaq composite index, while the Standard & Poor's 500 eked out the tiniest gain.

Traders, it seemed, were so used to bad news that Thursday's developments didn't really push them one way or the other.

"There's not a lot to move the market today," said Erik Davidson, deputy chief investment officer of Wells Fargo Private Bank in San Francisco. "Everyone's talking about baseball."

Joe Costigan, director of equity research at Bryn Mawr Trust Company in Pennsylvania, described Thursday as "a reasonable day."

"What we're seeing is more of a wave," he said, "not a tide."

The Dow finished down 18.58 points to 13,326.39. The S&P 500 inched up 0.28 point to 1,432.84. The Nasdaq fell 2.37 points to 3,049.41.

The Labor Department said that weekly applications for unemployment aid fell to their lowest level since February 2008, before the financial crisis, and when the unemployment rate was much lower ? 4.9 percent, compared with today's 7.8 percent.

Citi analysts upgraded U.S.?stocks?to the equivalent of buy. The analysts, led by Hasan Tevfik and Robert Buckland, argued that?stocks?are relatively cheap and that central banks seem likely to take more steps to try to boost the economy.

Still, their report wasn't all cheery, and neither were most of the other economic developments Thursday. "Profits are slowing around the world," the Citi analysts wrote, "and (earnings-per-share) expectations need to be cut further, in our view."

Already this week, the aluminum manufacturer Alcoa kicked off the third-quarter earnings season with a disappointing loss. Thursday, shares of grocery store Safeway slipped more than 3 percent, losing 58 cents to $15.71, after it reported a lower profit margin.

The Commerce Department reported that foreign demand declined for American-made cars and farm goods. In Germany, economic researchers predicted the country's growth would slow, and warned that patience for bailing out weaker European countries was evaporating. Unemployment in Greece, one of the countries surviving on bailouts, hit a record high of just more than 25 percent. And the Standard & Poor's ratings agency late Wednesday cut its rating on Spain's debt to one level above junk status.

In Tokyo, where the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank were meeting, IMF chief Christine Lagarde warned that the global economic recovery is weaker than many had expected. She called for urgent action to fix Europe's debt problems and an approaching fiscal crisis in the U.S.

A few?stocks?jumped after reports of potential new owners. Sprint Nextel soared more than 14 percent, rising 72 cents to $5.76, after a report that the company could be bought by Softbank, a Japanese cell phone provider. Truck company Oshkosh Corp. jumped more than 7 percent, up $2.05 to $28.90, after activist investor Carl Icahn offered to buy the company.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury note fell by 0.01 percentage point, to 1.67 percent.

Rational approach concerning Immigration Issues - The-Dispatch.com

Ooops- I appolozize for making A typographical error in the subject box- :o

This is a rational approach concerning Immigration, Amnesty and Deportation and how Obama and Romney feel about these issues.

This info has made it easier to understand.

#1-One of the primary concerns behind any immigration policy is the displacement of opportunities for local workers and the secondary economic effects, not least in the drop of average wages and fringe benefits. The influx of a foreign workforce realigns old standards and practices, negates existing leverages and draws new lines across the sand on existing employee-employer relationships. The process is not always instantaneous, but as sure as the sun will rise, it is a certainty.

#2-There is also the issue of immigrant integration into a society. Too few, and they run the risks of being absorbed or repulsed by their host community. Too many, and the host community is open to the risks of being unraveled and reshaped. The United States, for all of its open-arms policy to foreign talents, lack a structured and coherent integration process. Moreover, with no support infrastructure at a local level to assist immigrant integration processes, everything is left to chance, and once again, reactionary. This approach is especially flawed when dealing with a massive, single area influx, which will strain the healthcare, education and other prevailing public and social infrastructure.

#3-Now, this is even before we include illegal immigration into the mix, which will see the aforementioned risks being augmented many times over. With over ten million illegal immigrants in the country (the number varies depending on who you ask, but the error margin is about a million in either direction), accounting for a third of the foreign workforce, the figures are cause for great concern. This is especially true in border towns,
where the lack strategic, legal and enforcement support from the federal and state governments give rise to a siege mentality among the populace there.

#4-The situation is further exacerbated when criminal elements insert themselves into the situation, introducing drugs, human trafficking and cross border violence into the already volatile mix. Words like ?invasion? are being bandied with increasing regularity, and coupled with the constant threat of terrorism, there is a fear that vigilantism by over exuberant members of the border communities might find popular support, especially (and worryingly) from less reputable section of these communities (remember the Minuteman vigilante group and their eventual transformation into common robbers?). Putting all that aside, the deaths of immigrants looking for work in the country alone ought to raise questions about existing U.S. immigration policies, and facilitate the reengineering of these legislations.

How To Start Your Home Based Business The Way In Which ...

by: minhdednam36 - October 7th, 2012

Thousands upon thousand of individuals start their own home based business everyday. For many of these people, their business revolves around something which they create, and then spread. Some individuals offer services, including consulting and data entry to grocery shopping and dog walking. The overwhelming majority take up a home based business that moves around a network marketing company. What ever the route is that you consider, it is important to realize what you require to do to start your home based business the proper way, to assist in the odds of one?s success. Most people that start home based companies don?t know what it takes to truly create a business. This is particularly so with people that become involved with network advertising. They expect you?ll get rich quick, and do not realize the amount of work that it takes to start, and operate the proper way.Step 1 to a business to starting your own home based business is determining what that business can rotate around. Is it going to be your own product or service? Are you advertising another firms goods or services?Be sure that whatever is is that you decide to market, it is anything that you have a genuine interest in, and you appear good about. If you try to market a product that you really do perhaps not stand behind, it?ll show when you try to produce a sale.Step 2 ? How are you planning to market the product or service. With many home centered business, people try to make money by posting signs, and counting on word of mouth advertising. Some people have some success with these techniques, but many people who rely entirely on techniques such as this find yourself failing. You?ll need to consider such as a business. Use advertising practices, including the newspaper, the radio, and everyone?s favorite, the net. According to what you are giving will help you determine what the simplest way to promote is. The internet is typically used by people in network marketing, because their services and products are often national. Also, there are many ways to market for little to no cash on the web. Individuals with smaller home based businesses, such as for instance pet walkers, garden care, consulting, and radio, generally focus on more localized advertising, since most of the business needs to happen on the local level. The most readily useful marketers, particularly system marketers, are ones that can mix every one of the techniques, allowing then to target local and global leads, usually in various ways.Step 3 ? Produce a plan, and stay glued to it. You need to determine how much time you can commit to your business, how much cash you can commit to your business, and how you?re going to market your business, and you need to include activity. That?s where many people fail. They do not spend the proper amount of money and time, and they give up the moment some thing does not work. Consistency could be the key.

Why Realtors Are Dinosaurs | Destination Raleigh

Posted on Sunday, October 7th, 2012

It?s not secret that folks don?t rely on real estate agents?

Along with, I?d never ever trust an agent that I had not seen ?in action?. Nevertheless this morning I stumbled upon this article with regards to Sissy Lappin. She?s a genuine, real estate agent. Recently she dismissed the sharpened arrow of fact in to the coronary heart of America?s property sector.

June Fletcher details the serendipitous minute she identified Sissy Lappins?s marketing e mail material in their own inbox. The lady was so chuffed by way of a real estate broker ?heralding her very own profession while obsolete? that she made a decision to call Sissy.

Sissy speaks tough?

Are really the Estate Agents Dinosaurs?

Achievable as the woman?s opening statement she ended up being bound to obtain many of the woman?s colleagues off-side. Nevertheless she can make some fantastic points. Along with agents around australia should heed these instruction?

Home owners who want to sell their own home are discovering they are able to get all the information they need to list, market, stage, negotiate, along with ?close? the sale made of their own property ? on the net

Thousands of very first time Aussie buyers who pocketed more than $20,000 from three separate schemes; ? the very first home owners allow ? the very first home benefit ? along with the first homeowners boost.

They are now struggling to loans in homes which have little or no fairness.

What aided fuel this specific negative fairness epidemic ended up being the procedure designed to protect our economic system ? mobs of first home buyers spending over the odds to say their pot of rare metal being passed out by federal and state governments.

Property sellers seek out ways to minimize the cost of selling

Shrinking fairness is now forcing these home owners to look for approaches to cut the price tag on selling a house. Along with the biggest expense in a residence transaction could be the real estate agent?s percentage. The average fee paid to be able to agents through home sellers in Australia is all about $10,000.

If you are living in the inner suburbs of the capital city agents will often cost $10,000 to be able to $20,000 only to advertise your you will find buyers (should your house does not sell leave behind the lot, and when it offers you?ll have to pay the commission on top).

Why Real estate professionals Are Dinosaurs;

Similar to bank tellers, travel agents, stockbrokers, as well as other middlemen, real estate professionals are no longer crucial for the purchase.

The internet has reduced the necessity for agents.

Within the last 18 months, 20,000 agents in Australia have died the industry. And I believe the number of agents will continue to be able to fall as increasing numbers of people turn to technology to enable them to sell their own home.

More youthful home sellers are especially self-confident they have a chance to sell a residence using the internet, instead of with a standard real estate agent. One agent lately lost any juicy percentage because a retailer sold his / her home to any Facebook buddy before the agent could list it. Another home retailer paid his / her receptionist $1,000 to learn the best way to sell his / her home on the internet ? and yes it sold.

The future of agents

Nevertheless no matter how significantly technology redefines the home industry, I think that just the best agents will survive. Along with slowly the population opinion of agents will rise while cowboy agents retreat along with retire.

Regardless of the market makes or the most advanced technology, will real estate professionals survive? I think only the finest will. These are the agents who place your requirements ahead of their own.

In 2012, China?s Mid-Autumn Festival on September 29-30

Many Asian friends are wishing each other a happy Mid-Autumn Festival today at EarthSky?s Facebook page. For us in the U.S. and elsewhere in the Northern Hemisphere, tonight?s Harvest Moon is a sign that autumn is here. Meanwhile, in China, Taiwan, Vietnam and other parts of Asia, the focus is on the annual Mid-Autumn Festival, which by tradition also carries a strong connection to tonight?s moon. It?s sometimes called the Moon Festival in honor of this moon. It?s also called the Mooncake Festival for a traditional baked delicacy exchanged among family and friends. In 2012, the Mid-Autumn Festival takes place on September 30 for Asia and September 29 for those in the United States.

Everything you need to know: Harvest Moon 2012

The date of the Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese calendar. One website called the eighth month the Chicken month. That timing places the festival in September or early October in the Gregorian calendar, close to the autumnal equinox, every year.

This year?s autumnal equinox fell on September 22. The Chinese lunar month begins on the day of a new moon. Since the first day of eighth lunar month was September 16, 2012, the Moon Festival falls on September 30 in Asia. But it falls on September 29 in the U.S. since ? in U.S. time zones ? the date of new moon fell on September 15 for us within U.S. shores.

The Mid-Autumn Festival or Moon Festival features the beautiful idea that we all see the same moon phase on or around the same date. There are some small differences due to time zone, but, for the most part, the moon looks the same to all of us as night falls across the globe. The website Chinese-Fortune-Calendar.com said:

The Moon Festival is a holiday in China. It?s an occasion for family reunion. Chinese families like to get together to eat the mooncakes and watch the moon at the Moon Festival night. For the people are out of town or for Chinese are from China stay in USA, they miss their family or the lover at home and share the same moon at the night of the Moon Festival before the Internet gets popular.

Another tradition at the Mid-Autumn Festival is lanterns, both in the sky and on the ground. After a family dinner, Asian children are said to carry lanterns and stroll in parks or gardens. As part of the festival, lanterns are also released into the sky.

Legends associated with the Mid-Autumn Festival

And, traditionally, matchmaking has been part of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Some parts of China are said to feature dances held to help young men and women find partners, although I don?t know how widely this tradition is practiced in today?s world. According to Wikipedia:

Young women are encouraged to throw their handkerchiefs to the crowd. The young man who catches and returns the handkerchief has a chance of romance.

Bottom line: On September 29 and 30, 2012, happy Harvest Moon to friends in the western hemisphere, and to our friends in Asia ? happy Mid-Autumn Festival! This post has some photos and traditions of this Asian festival, which is also called the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival.

First Drive: 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid

I was fortunate enough to be in San Francisco for the Ford Fusion product launch. It might as well have been the Batman premier - the level of anticipation was through the roof. I got to drive the Fusion hybrid, which right now is at the top of its class in fuel economy. So first things first.

Ford Fusion Hybrid is the most fuel-efficient midsize sedan in America with an EPA-certified 47 mpg city, 47 mpg highway and 47 mpg combined fuel economy rating for its hybrid model. Fusion Hybrid tops the Toyota Camry Hybrid by 8 mpg highway and 4 mpg city, and delivers the highest-ever fuel economy numbers in city and highway driving for a midsize sedan.

Appearances. The Ford Fusion may not be an Aston Martin, but it comes pretty close with a sleek, streamlined design that will earn more than a few double-takes. The interior is comfy and feels like a second home. If you like to geek out on gadgets and technology, the Fusion is going to be your favorite car. Ever. It actually helps you parallel park! Why didn't someone come up with this sooner? Here's how it works: the driver activates the system by pressing a center console button, which activates ultrasonic sensors that measure and identify a feasible parking space; the system then prompts the driver to accept parking assistance. The steering system then takes over and steers the car into the parking space hands-free. The driver still shifts the transmission and operates the gas and brake pedals; a visual and/or audible driver notification advises the driver about the proximity of other cars and objects and provides instructions. While the steering is all done automatically, the driver remains responsible for safe parking and can interrupt the system by grasping the steering wheel.

Another notable technology in the new Fusion is the lane keeping system, which will alert you if you should start falling asleep at the wheel. When the system detects the vehicle drifting close to lane markings, the Lane Keeping Alert will notify drivers through a vibration in the steering wheel to correct their course. The Lane Keeping Aid takes this technology even further by providing steering torque to steer back toward the center of the lane. That along with the blind spot indicator are safety features that add a deeper level of security to your daily commute. I did not investigate the voice activated commands too much, but again, it?s another way that the Ford Fusion puts safety first: you can use your hands to focus on driving rather than fiddling with knobs and buttons. I did experience the innovative automatic start and stop system. If you're waiting at a stoplight for instance, the car will conserve fuel by shutting off. A few friends mentioned this would unnerve them, but the car starts so quickly and easily you hardly notice.

This car is all about fuel efficiency and cutting down emissions and it's features like the stop and start system that insure it will remain cutting edge in these departments. There?s another feature called the adaptive cruise control, it's a radar-based system that can monitor the vehicle in front (up to 600 feet) and adjust the speed of the vehicle to keep it at a preset distance behind the lead vehicle, even in most fog and rain conditions. The system measures distance as a function of speed and can monitor the traffic ahead while ignoring stationary objects such as road signs and telephone poles. It also can determine how fast the vehicle is approaching the vehicle ahead. For example, when approaching a lead vehicle at a high rate of speed, the system will activate sooner than when approaching slower.

The Ford Fusion is exciting because it will be sold worldwide and it?s the first midsize sedan to give consumers the choice of gas, hybrid or electric. It?s inspiring to think about a car that has both sex appeal and environmental appeal and to know that this is the vehicle that will replace the Camry and Accord in terms of popularity. The Fusion makes fuel efficiency cool, frankly. Safety, mpg and appearances aside, you may wonder how it drives. Well, I will be the first to tell you, it drives like a dream! The powertrain noise is almost inaudible thanks to interior soundproofing, bringing a rare tranquility to the ride. Overall the Ford Fusion is a groundbreaking and truly exceptional sedan, guaranteed to dominate the midsize markets for years to come.

Chevy, GM Seek To Beat The $1.1 Million Raised In 2011 For Breast Cancer

Chevrolet, along with General Motors employees, dealers, and customers, are renewing their commitment to fight breast cancer for 2012. The groups are looking to surpass the nearly $1.1 million raised by the American Cancer Society via Chevy?s nationwide grassroots assistance.

The Bow Tie brand is launching several October events to drum up financial support for the cause, starting with GM?s worldwide headquarters at the Renaissance Center in Detroit being lit with pink bands to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For the first time, the Chevy Spark will be present and accounted for: a special ?Pink Out? Spark wears a production-spec Techno Pink hue and is decorated with custom pink elements inside and out. Designed to honor breast cancer survivors and supporters, the ?Pink Out? Spark will visit community walks throughout October.

In 2011, The Bow Tie brand?s support raised $1,079,633 in contributions to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for the American Cancer Society. The funds go to funding research, wellness, and breast cancer awareness education, as well as support for break cancer patients and their families.

Planned Chevy-sponsored events in October in support of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer:

Chevrolet and GM Employee Walks

All month, General Motors facilities, plants and warehouses across the country will participate in fund-raising walks.

Chevrolet Dealership Walks

Hundreds of dealerships have already signed up to sponsor teams in community walks throughout October with more expected to join. These walks alone accounted for more than half of the money raised in 2011 that went to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Those interested in participating in a Making Strides for Breast Cancer walk in their community can visit www.makingstrideswalk.org.

Chevrolet Certified Service

Customers who bring their vehicle to a Chevy dealer for qualifying services in October can contribute part or all of their rebates and Chevrolet will match them, up to a total of $150,000. A $39.95 oil and filter change, tire rotation and 27-multi-point inspection is $29.95 after the $10 mail-in rebate. The $99.95 (per axle) ACDelco Durastop ceramic brake pads service is $74.95 after the $25 mail-in rebate. For more information, visit mycertifiedservicerebates.com.

Chevrolet Racing

  • A Making Strides Against Breast Cancer-themed pink Camaro SS pace car will appear at selected Chevrolet dealers and GM events throughout October.
  • Chevrolet and Tony Stewart Racing will display a specially wrapped USAC National Midget Car at races at Eldora Speedway in Ohio (Sept. 21-22); Mechanicsburg, Pa. (Sept. 28-29); and the New York State Fair in Syracuse (Oct. 5-7). At those races, representatives from the American Cancer Society will distribute brochures with information on local walks, the importance of early detection and ways to reduce the risk of breast cancer.
  • In early September, Chevrolet contributed $6,200 to the American Cancer Society ? $200 for each of the 31 caution laps during the AdvoCare 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Breast cancer survivors and their families also spent time in the pink Camaro SS pace car with Team Chevy drivers Jamie McMurray and Ron Hornaday, Jr.

Chevrolet Test Drives

Chevrolet will contribute $5 to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for every vehicle test drive at these Southern Women?s Shows: Birmingham, Ala. (Oct. 4-7); Orlando, Fla. (Oct. 11-14); and Jacksonville, Fla. (Oct. 18-21).
